Pathetic Driver

Lol that's really funny... And sad that they are so oblivious to the obvious and safe practices of driving

Saw a moron with this "mirror config" 2 days ago... if only this video was posted sooner, I would have done the same.

Off topic, but I had to get off my bike at a red light, and walk up to the driver in front of me to notify her that NONE of her brake lights were functioning.

Yes, good laughs and hopefully that's one idiot who will make sure things are in order before he starts driving next time.

Gas caps, brake lights etc, very common, little gestures like this I think make drivers realize how stupid they are (a good laugh to shake it off, especially if a rider helps out and is nice) makes them aware of riders and will hopefully respect the next rider who is sharing the road. :happy3:

Pfffft! He probably knocked his mirror in when he hit that last pedestrian. LOL! :lmao:

I commute from Brampton into DT every day now. The number of stunned drivers I encounter every day... gah! I was going to ride to work, but I think I'd be taking my life in my hands. If no one seems to notice a Ford Escape, how would they see a CBR?

This is stupid, honestly. How have you been driving for X amount of time and didn't notice it!

-Thank you rider for posting, showing us just another way drivers are careless for other cars, motorcycle and people walking around.

That's stupid? Put it in context. It's filmed in the UK. It's common practise to fold your mirrors in at night so they dont get side swiped by passing cars whilst parked on the street. Roads are narrow. The guy probably just left home as he's on his commute in heavy traffic. Yet he still left enough room for the motorcyclist to lane split, which isn't illegal in the UK. Your average UK motorist has more care and consideration for motorcyclists than the best driver in Canada. Motorcycles are part and parcel of everyday driving in most of Europe, 365 days a year. That video is such a non event.

Oh, and see the gap the silver car left in front of himself? thats to allow oncoming traffic to turn right. Its common courtesy to do that. Now you go out with your camera and try to get footage of a Toronto driver doing that. I bet even the OP doesn't do that.

I guess the car driver doesn't know how to roll the window down either?? Takes like 2 secs to push the mirror out like the biker did.

It's a right hand drive car.

I was going to let a driver know that her back left tire was nearly flat. I pulled up beside her and tapped on the window, but of course, couldn't get her attention away from her texting. When she finally looked up she was obviously startled, veered right and suddenly turned right on to side street. Ah well... I tried.

Maybe he doesn't like to play mirror wars with people who are lane-sharing.
