Getting a little frustrated with this. I need the odd part here and there for my 97 TL1000S. Maybe it wasn't the most popular bike, some things get discontinued... I can understand I guess. Some of those parts might be important even. But now it seems like that they might have discontinued a brake pedal, P/N 43111-33E00... which they also used on SRAD GSX-Rs and first gen SV650s... which they made a lot of. And it's a particular outboard part that probably needs frequent replacing due to physical damage. And the only commonly available aftermarket replacement is some generic dogshit thing with a tiny folding nub that you strictly engage with your big toe (???)

Like is it now at the point where it's crazy to daily a bike from 1997? Is it just Suzuki, or are the other marques just as bad? I'm pretty sure Honda is actually worse

Right. It is technically out there - not from Suzuki though. Backorder, with no ETA. Parts guy suggested actual ETA is "never" - and that aligns with me ordering other backordered parts, only to get my money refunded by the dealer with an apology

Edit: Also, $160 for a cast aluminum brake pedal (that is more or less inline with Suzuki's price, if they had it in stock) is a bit dear? Six of these is worth one new folding 4x8 trailer? World is stressing me out today

I think Oshawa Cycle Salvage is not open, but sells parts on Ebay.
I know they had 3 barns of bikes and parts.
Maybe contacting them might work. Prepare to wait a few days for an answer.

I just wanted to be mad but you guys are being helpful lol
So just to REALLY piss you off.
Suzuki has some of the best part support for old bikes. A few years ago they re-introduced over 100,000 dis-continued parts... mostly from the late 70s or early '80s.
Your problem is your bike isn't new enough to keep parts in stock and not old enough to garner "vintage" interest.
Those Krase rearsets have a lot of parts for $150
Can you fix the old one?

It has a very mild upwards bend/twist in it. I tried researching how to straighten it (again, cast aluminum), but got discouraged by the mountain of mysticism and outright bad advice.

I feel like it should go like this: Stick it in a vise. Heat it up to ??? degrees with a torch. Bend a small amount. Reheat. Repeat until done. Do not heat past ??? degrees.

I had an external hard metal water pipe develop a leak on a Ninja 300 recently. My local Kawasaki dealer had to email the mothership to see if it could still be ordered - at least it appears to still be available in the system, but 4 to 6 weeks to get it. There's zero aftermarket support for that kind of thing, so I was able to scavenge one locally sooner.

Try Niche Cycle not original part but close

That's the style I was talking about. Not ideal... technically would be better than nothing, if it come down to that.

Interestingly, I had never heard of Niche before today. But the Suzuki parts guy went out of his way to warn me against them

If the stubby toe peg on the aftermarket ones is too small for your liking, you could tap the hollow inside of the toe peg and extend it with a socket head cap screw and some nuts or round aluminum tube, if necessary. Rubber hose over the whole thing for grip.

Same thing if your OEM lever is still reasonably straight. You could cut the bent toe peg portion off, drill and tap the remaining lever, and use a small piece of round aluminum tube and a socket head cap screw to fashion a new toe peg.

Do you have an oxygen acetylene torch? Acetylene only flame to coat section to be bent in soot. Add oxygen to properly tune flame. Heat until soot burns off. Remove heat and bend. Let cool. Done.

I have the same issue with many parts for my '03 GSX750F. I bought a complete parts bike for that reason.

I have delt with Niche Cycle with no issues
Partzilla shows the OEM part as shipping in 3-4 days
With the huge population base of the US there is a much greater chance of getting it south of the border.

To bend aluminum you need to heat it to 300 - 350 degrees.
A propane torch works well.
Use a constant pressure and not shock type (hammer) motion.
Straitened many a clutch/brake lever this way.

Manufacturers are only required to make parts available for 10 years after production.
