Packs of motorcycles swarming St. Louis area highways

Listen I'm no saint on the highways so I am not going to get on somebody who dips into the deep triple digits once in a while on the highways. But this? This is organized confusion and chaos with absolutely no regard for others on the road. If the tables were turned we'd all be in here asking for the cagers to be carpet bombed.

Not to worry. No doubt at least some of those criminals will get their's in the end. Maybe a ditch, maybe the back of big truck, the front of a car, or if lucky enough, maybe just a spike belt.
Time will tell. And while you're all in shock over how such a thing could happen, I'll just be shaking my head wondering why anyone would be surprised.

Yaaaa, the worst kind of criminals, the kind who violate traffic laws!!! dun dun dunnnn oohh 10-15 km over the speed limit.
If it upsets you that a few dozen bikers can have the highway shut down like that, is it any better when some dummy leaves there broke down car in a live traffic lane during rushhour, or better yet, the fender bender that closes 2 or 3 lanes?
Doing 10 to 15 kmph over the limit does not compare with what those idiots were doing, nor does being stranded by a break-down in the middle of a live lane.
You want to know what drives laws like HTA172? It's grossly reckless acts performed by idiots that does that, whether performed by two-wheelers or by four-wheelers, that promote public acceptance and even demands for harsh treatment of those types of idiots, including tough penalties like massive fines and roadside vehicle and license removal.
The initial acts were bad enough, but the deliberate running of a police roadblock should have landed them in jail. However, the back of a truck or a ditch would be an acceptable alternate as far as I'm concerned, as recently happened here and as recently happened in the area of that video as well.
Screw that kind of rider. I have no tribal affinity with any of them. If they come into harm's way as a result of deliberately tempting fate, screw them. They bought their own ticket, let them go for the full ride.

Seriously?? Your comparing what those guys did in that video with an accident or a break down? There really needs to be some sort of standard equivalency test to post in here.
Agreed, got some grade A posts in this one. Those riders really are ****in stupid. Doing that **** in a parking lot sure, but on a highway where it's very easy to wipe out and slam into a car, just brutal. I'd say at least 5 of them wipeout a year, at least doing that run.
We've got a budding Szilveszter Matuska on our hands here.
But seriously, the rhetoric and threats are escalating, and I for one wouldn't want to get too close to the front fender of someone who's obviously (and very publicly) losing his grip, lest he perceive your acts to be outside the bounds of what he has zealously determined right and decide he's morally obliged (for the good of the community, of course) to PIT you into the ditch.

Some of the motorists were taking pictures, and some of the wheelie gang looked like they took each other down.
One guy driving the opposite direction said the pack was organised, the front wave was clearing the way, then almost a circle of riders where the wheelies were happening in the middle.

The ROC "Ride of the century" happens every year, and this years was just last weekend. So all these clips and edited videos are coming out this week. Ive been watching them all, and there is alot more of them...
Every years someone crashes, and some people get caught. Usually its not even someone that was actually stunting, because only about %50 that attend actually do stunts... A thousand others from all over the US get away with it and dont crash. No matter how much Turbodish dreams and wishes about them all crashing and burning to death, it doesnt happen. Every year, year after year this huge stunt ride goes down and they cant stop it....
This video comes from one of the organizers, and he says that county that those cops came from is the only one that actually ties to catch them like that when they pass through. They get escorted by police cars through most of the ride, and there is video of them doing wheelies with cops just driving beside them.
Actually this year someone was ran over by a truck, his leg was squashed pretty badly and from what I have read he will live but might loose the leg. He was not a stunt rider, just a sport bike rider along for the ride, and the guy that ran him over was talking on his cell phone...So talk to me about dangers on the highway, 1000 bikes doing stunts and they dont hurt anyone...One guy in a truck on a cell phone takes one of them out, almost kills him and possibly causes him to loose a limb....And yet people that use cell phones on the highway doesnt give all cell phone users a bad name...hummmm

I can't believe the cop took a swing like that.. hilarious. I love watching these kinds of videos, I don't think any of those "roadblocks" worked.
