Wondering what the Iconic / Quirky places to visit in PA would be?

Hot Springs? Over looks? suspension bridges?

hyner view sp?? is cool nice vista, and people jumping off with parachutes. Great road getting up the mountain.

Its in the Renovo area.

Try Renovo if you want to see poverty in small town.

Intercourse.

+1 for Centralia. It's pretty creepy and amazian all at the same time. Then ride southwest for a half hr to a town called Ravine, and jump on Rt125 and head north on it.... for the best road I have yet to find in PA.

Emporium, cant forget the time when we were approached by pregnant junkie with a needle still sticking off her arm asking us if my name is Jesus and my friend's name is Mohamed (she was correct), anyway its in 120 and near 555- great place to view Elk around Fall.

+ 1 on Centralia and 125 add to that a crossing of Susquehanna river using the millersbug ferry http://www.millersburg.com/attractions/ferry.html

I can say Hershey PA is iconic.

THANK YOU!!! KEEP THE SUGESSIONS COMMING! I will map out a route tonight.

Really appricaite your help!

Ok who wants to take a day ride and do Centralia and some of the surrounding roads suggested here!? Sorry for the Hijack!

Collapsed railway bridge - pretty spectacular - was the highest in the world when built and a tornado took it down a few years back when it was being refurbished.....mother natures fury big time. Worth the look.

Is that around said roads?

I hear Hershey PA is a sweet place to visit

Visit during the antique auto/bike show. I have relative in the area so its always free lodgng for me to visit Hershey :)

I am going down to PA this weekend.

There is also the east coast version of the Grand Cnayon in PA, not far from Centralia. A bit north and just off of #6.

what the city called? or what route from centralia would i go to get there? and again and takers soon?

Centralia would be 8+ hrs from the GTA..one way once you factor in food, gas, border crossing etc. You would be really hard pressed to see it and get home in a day. And the PA grand canyon isn't a bit north..it'salmost another half day's ride.

I suggest:
http://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=To...TuZ7Dw&mra=dpe&mrsp=5&sz=11&via=1,2,3,4,5&z=8

Then head south another 45 mins to Ravine. Jump on 125 and head north as far as you can on it. Then make your way home however you choose.
