Over the air HDTV

I agree.....I download stuff all the time, pretty much all in HD but it would be nice to have the option to just turn on the tv and watch the news/weather sometimes or random stuff.

True but then I have a news program on my phone so I get the basic stuff via that.

I used to do that but the picture quality is not there.

Depends what sites you use and where you download. Also looking for a movie that just hit theatres yesterday = crap. Gotta give it time for a good copy to hit the web. But usually tv shows are up 24hrs after airing if not earlier. But again give it a little time and you get better quality. And frankly, for quality, its not worth 50 a month. When really I should be tidying up, off at the gym, out spending time with friends, wrenching on my bike, working. So I cant justify wasting money on it.

Shouldn't gilligan be doing that?

Nah hes usually busy snapping photos lol. I don't like getting clothes dirty and we bring bikes into the house to work on.

Being in a border city I have enjoyed OTA HDTV for over 7 years. I have a roof-mounted Winegard MS-2000 omni antenna and get about 22 channels from the US.

Antenna selection is a science, based on location and direction of signal towers, altitude, infrastructure etc. It's difficult to recommend an antenna based on other users results.

As for the Leaf, it's appears from some reviews that I have read that it's a very efficient flat panel antenna but, it's probably most suitable for condo owners with a single tv in a city with nearby transmitters.

I bought a cheap antenna from Sayal and mounted it on the chimney. I get 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 17, 19, 23, 25, 29, 41, 47, 49, 57, 69 and occasionally 2 and another few.
If you want you can mount two antennas, run two cables to a selector switch. Point the antennas in different directions and see what you get.
