Some of you pay more than you should and some less.

So you pay $30 dollars for life insurance a month to lower your rate $30 a month?
I would consider revising that

I think he meant he pays $30 year more on life insurance and that reduces his rate by $30 every month, so that's $360 in savings.

Hmmm... I was told by several insurers that if I lived in Etobicoke instead of Brampton my premiums would be cut in half. I've thought about listing my vehicles to my parent's place in Etobicoke just for the insurance deduction.

Bike: 1998 Suzuki GN125 $205/year (previously had a GS500 and paid $250/year)

Would prefer to have a larger older bike (Suzuki GS from the late 1970's to early 80's), but TD doesn't insure them.

Hey Everyone,

This is my first post... Glad to have stumbled on this forum.

I'm just starting out and I'm trying to learn more. I saw the thread asking what people under 25 pay for insurance and I thought that I'd start a thread for those of us who are not on that side of the fence! I'm in my early 30s, I've had my G license for well over a decade, I have an insured car, and no offenses. A bike is just for fun for 6 to 8 months of the year.

I was just curious to know what other 25+, long-term, car-insured drivers pay for their bike insurance.

Thanks!

28 m near St. Clair West.

Pay about $500/month for...
2009 Ninja 650R - 1 mil lia, comprehensive and theft with $500 ded.
2009 WRX - $1 mil lia, collision with $1000 ded, comp and theft with $500 ded.
1987 Porsche 944 - 1 mil lia, comprehensive and theft with $500 ded.
1997 Saab 900se turbo - 1 mil lia, comprehensive and theft with $500 ded.

No tickets on record. No at fault claims. Single. All possible discounts from ThePersonal. StateFarm wanted something like $1000/month.

Before I moved I was paying about $280/mo for the 650R, 944, and Saab 900se outside of Guelph.

I have my car/house with Bel-air direct but since they don't do bikes, SF is for my bike. I tried moving my car to SF but it was more than double the rate! Makes the most sense for me to keep them separate.

25 yr M but i have 1 at fault accident, no more tickets (yay!!)

2012 Hyundai Veloster + home is 260 with Bel-air, full coverage.
MV F4 (1000cc) - 210 full coverage with SF.

Almost forgot... a large chunk (car at least...) is due to my house being in Malvern. but that might be changing soon, saving me more money!
