YUP ! exactly.. I was talking to a young Lady,, who just went thru this.. seemed to her it was a $1500 + estimate to repair her car,, just because she was a naive girl.
They did the oil change,, and she took it to another mechanic to ensure it needed the other repairs.. net cost leaving the other shop was $90
I told her to continue using the same oil change shop ,, as she now has a relationship with them... and if they want to attempt to scam her again... she can point that out.
If she goes somewhere else,, then she runs a really good chance of them trying to put her thru the wringer just like the last place..... and soooo on....... what a rat race!
My wife takes her car to the local GM dealer for oil changes. Once the service sheet came back with recommendations for fluid tests and checks: estimated $750.00. No thanks.

It's what manslaughter is to murder but my issue with lying to a lier is that now you're both engaging in this dance and you both know you're doing it and you know the other knows you're doing it and you're both smiling and acting sincere and it's so gay.

OK, now I'm really mad!! I'm looking at the Sans Souci page of my Georgian Bay Ports and Cruising Guide. It shows 2 Frying Pan Islands that are not connected at all. How can that be? 1 Fryingpan Island has a space between the g and p, the other doesn't. Who comes up with this nonsense and why do I have to share the planet with them? We are so doomed.

Sans Souci is also the name of a restaurant in downtown Belleville. The gall.
Frying Pan is very busy and touristy in the summer, little bit south by hole in the wall or going north to Britt makes me happier. Point au Baril gets you further away from the gong show that arrives every weekend from Midland/Penetange. Lower fuel costs this coming summer means extended cruising range for the big haired blond fake boob crowd. Not that theres anything wrong with big hair, fake booby blonds, it would be the greasy oakly wearing vodka/redbullers they keep in tow.
