Matinee movie downtown. Friday afternoon. Ticket windows closed. Must by ticket at concession stand. The problem is obvious. How long has this been going on? To "serve the valued customer better"?:colors:

In before "white people problems"

White people problems...

DON'T watch Matinee movie in the future

Maybe I'm too white to see the problem.

If you gladly park 30 deep at drive thru for coffee then you might be too white to see the problem. Re movie: corporation saves $10hr for ticket booth operator, valueless customer waits in line 30 deep while other valueless sheeple order popcorn, candy and sugar water @ $15. Don't be late.

Ok, so they had some "must" or mold by the concession stand. Is that enough to complain here about?

I'm not complaining about that. I'm highlighting the fact that, once again, a corporation has found another way to cut a corner to the detriment of the customer and employee. If that's not a legitimate observation I'll be the first to apologize.

5o shades of grey?

Kingsman The Secret Service, rollicking good fun.

Just good natured teasing. I plan to see kings men too.

Get used to it.
The first sign of death is to stop growing. That line refers to many things including corporate profits. If a corporation's profits fail to increase the share values drop and heads roll.

I pretty much quit going to movies when they started playing commercials.

I'm not a sophisticated person, obviously. I went to the JiffyLube this afternoon. Basic oil change, like last time thankyverymuch. Buddy comes back in 5 with.....we checked your differential, looks like you're carrying heavy loads, we found metal shavings on the plug you need fluid change. I don't carry heavy loads and my manual says no fluid change required for life of vehicle(I find that hard to believe). At debit machine they now have tipping option(% or $ amount). I guess corporate can save on wages.

I'm madder today than yesterday. Why am I/are we expected to let blatant scams roll off our shoulders as business as usual? What part of "do the oil change, nothing else" don't they understand? You get one little cockroach you could crush with one hand trying to scam you and you're doing mental backflips to finesse a response. It's not right.

Scams that piss me off are the front door solicitations, especially for natural gas and water heater rental contracts. In the case of water heaters, they pretend to be your existing supplier just doing an energy efficient upgrade. After they came around last summer I went to an older neighbour's place to worn him, be he had already signed up. He had his son in law cancel it. Some of the new young sales people I feel sorry for because they are just happy to have a job, but the older slimey experienced ones I tell them to get off my lawn.

When I go to Mr.Lube I always say it's a lease and I am returning it end of month so do the minimum also when they ask about air filter change blah blah I say I work for auto parts distributor and too lazy to change my own oil. Makes for an easy transaction with minimal jabber.

Fair enough but isn't it kind off sad that you have to come up with a "story" to head them off at the pass?

I only go to the matinee at the drive in, it's never crowded.
