Unfortunately, we needed photo rader more than people thought.... in the UK, tickets are handed out so often and frequently, your insurance is not affected by a good number of ticket types, because everyone and their mom has driving infractions - all thanks to the massive amount of traffic cameras they have over there.
At least non moving violations dont affect your insurance - at least, I don't think so anyways.
I just hate insurance companies... I paid for years and years with no tickets, no claims, the works. I missed a payment, cancelled insurance as a result. I contact my broker when I get back into Ontario (travelling for work) and go to get my insurance reinstated, and my own broker treats me like some scum sucker, and increases my rates 600% and tells me to go elsewhere. The best rate I could find was 350% more than I was paying for years as a good driver and insurance customer. If a company is going to hang you out to dry, and you've cost them nothing, I feel like you should get a substantial financial kickback for all the premiums you paid for nothing.
