Ordering Straight from Dainese?

ah good info. I have been thinking to order directly from them as well. Smart JAcket for example, fortnine sells at 999 CAD, dainese sells at 699 USD. is it worth the wait, I wonder.

The wait probably isn't a big issue now. I assume they can get it to you before the next riding season. Will they let you pay with a transfer or do you have to use a credit card? 699 USD is somewhere between 870 and 900 CAD depending on how you pay. I don't think I would order from Italy to save 10%. If I have an issue, do I have to ship it back to Italy?
 
Ordered from Dainese earlier this year. Be as certain as you can about sizing, the Italian sizing is usually on the smaller side. If you have to return something as I did, you are responsible for shipping costs incurred to Dainese, which for me was 1/2 the value of the item and a three month wait time on a credit return as the item had to returned via Boat which was the cheapest method, a 500 pair of shoes got me a 250 credit after the shipping return and the savings on the previous item negated the overall transaction. They shipped to me DHL which was pretty fast and I don't recall any issues from that perspective.

Would I order direct from Dainese again, probably not if I could find it on another site or I knew 100% I had no intention of returning it.

The difference may be around 150-200 bucks (savings) after conversion, duties, taxes, misc etc. Good savings, if you're certain about the fit and no return required. If you need to return to F9, I think it's pretty cheap prepaid 7.99 label, I think.

So again depends on the fit, are you a skinny dude or a not so skinny dude? Rhetorical question.

I went to gpbikes, the salesperson told me the tag price was 869 but the website showed as 999. I was tempted to buy at the spot. Definately size one up had to be done to fit me right. Well in this case, it is cheaper and no hassle i will buy it at gpbikes.
 
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, does anyone know if the Dainese Canada site charges in CAD, USD or EUR currency.
Wife is looking for a discounted jack to replace her old icon and we've recently tested the fitment out at GP for a style and design by a model year older so there is quite a bit of savings problem is that none else this discontinued model in her size and I want to pull the trigger and buy this but the currency amount is a big factor.

If you ask why not reach out to Dainese directly, I have they say it's USD which I don't believe it is and thing it's EUR since they use a comma instead of the period for the cents like how Quebec does. I would like to think it was in CAD but I just might be kidding myself and the US site has the item listed for about $30 cheaper.

Dainese told you directly it was USD. That seems pretty definitive to me.

I don't see why they would lie to you.

I’m not saying they would lie to me it’s just more that the price listed is higher than the one on the US side so why would I purchase from Canadian site in USD vs US site in USD.
