OPP Hiding Spots

3) Finally, this one is down Old Kingston Rd. The speed limit there is 50, and after you go down a long steep hill there's usually an OPP standing at the bottom with his radar pointing right at you.

I'm sure there is more, but these are the ones that I could think right at the top of my head.

Your location is correct but its not OPP, it's TPS.

first of all tapping your helmet to indicate PIGS has been around for years if you are old enough to know. scondly some guy said high speed is gonna cause more damage than a low speed crash, ANSWER is always wear full gear most times you ay get a bruise i wear full gear crashed at 180 no cuts or anything

hey britor do you ride a moped you try doing 60 in town on a litre bike

Getting a lot of warnings on Trapster App for "mobile speed cameras." There's a permanent camera at McLaughlin just before Eglington in front of a small row of town homes. I thought photo-radar was scrapped in Ontario?

FWIW, I never used Trapster when I first downloaded the App, but it's improved a great deal as more and more people seem to be reporting locations.

The mobile camera vans were sold off. The law, that permits its use, is still on the books.

I gotta laugh at this thread. This coming from a guy who also hates radar and could open a museum of radar detectors (owned just about every type, some even confiscated).

Every link on this thread showing where radar is or has been located, shows radar at just about every major road, open area or downhill location in the GTA. Following that logic, cops could be any where? Duh, ya think?

Cops must be laughing too, since we now have systematically determined via high-tech communication intelligence gathering (lol) that its possible that radar could just be about anywhere, everyone slows down and mission accomplished.

What a relief!

Especially when you consider the number of police cruisers that are now equipped with moving radar and which do not need to be parked to be in radar mode? Heh heh!

I'm laughing at your post. The thread is about "OPP Hot Spots" ....where the OPP hang out MOST OFTEN. It has nothing to do with radar detectors.

We're just one smartphone app away from real-time notification of speed trap locations.

Download 5-0 Radio. It's a police scanner. You could very well hear yourself being pulled over in your ear buds.

"oh look, I have a notification on my homescreen. what's that say? I'm getting pulled over right now?"

and you get dinged for using a handheld device lol

"there's an app for that"

Sorry but I believe if you speed and get caught... your own damn fault. And yes I speed too. But I fully accept responsibility when I get pulled over.

until the day you're pulled over and they say you were doing 51 over when you were really doing 30 over.

Yesterday during afternoon rush hour they were on the Allan North bound left shoulder in between Eglinton and York Mills.
