Ontario Pension plan

If you're talking about the DVP North to 401 East, that's actually just a repair to the guard rails lol. And I'm pretty sure it won't be finished this year...

This is how they SHOW you that tax dollars are at work. They make it HURT.

4 . It takes us 2 years to build an off ramp on the 401. We have 7 guys working one 9-5 shift. Other nations build 1 km long span bridges in less time with 2000 workers per shift 24/7

Haha were they not working on it last year too??

Of course it was. It's a false flag operation to jam the DVP for some reason. Every spring they shut down one lane.
If you look at the area on google maps, you'll be astonished at how poorly the ramp is designed as well (like everything in Toronto). They built it as a flyover of two lanes, one going to the express, the other going to the collector except merging from the left (major danger for Toronto retard drivers).
There's ample space for a two lane exit to hit the collectors from the right and a single lane flyover to the express. It would clear up traffic immensely, but that would defeat the purpose of the exercise.
All these decisions are made by idiots that live across the street from queens park or city hall and thinks that anyone that drives or lives outside downtown is an idiot and deserves to experience bad traffic because they are stoopid car drivers that don't love the diversity of dining and arts and socials downtown.

Very well said !

with all of the taxes for pensions and investment in my future, I wont ever be able to retire

Blowing millions on ehealth, gas plants??

You mean blowing BILLIONS away.

Dalton McGuinty and his Liberal clowns should be in jail for their recklessness. :protest::angry5: Instead, McGuinty's teaching at Harvard. And, to make matters worse, most Ontarians are more concerned about Rob Ford's private life than on the corruption and lies by the provincial Liberal gov't. What an effed up province.

So is this the Hudak love-in? Am I in the right place?

How the F did he get that job??

I travelled

USA
Denmark
Belgium
Switzerland
Germany

My wife travelled way more.

We dont have it good here at all maybe compared to the usa in medical cost only.

1. Most of Europe has fraction of our medical expenses. I pay less then $10 for medicine that cost $80
Here

2. Our free health care has turned into crap. Almost wish it was like USA atleast you pay you get served. 4-6 month wait for an MRI. Go to a cancer patient where every moment counts.

3. We are the 4th biggest city in NA and our public transit is 3rd world. Our highway structure is third world.

4 . It takes us 2 years to build an off ramp on the 401. We have 7 guys working one 9-5 shift. Other nations build 1 km long span bridges in less time with 2000 workers per shift 24/7

5. Our goverment monopolizes alcohol and tobacco. Where is free enterprise?

6. You make $1 you pay .40 as income tax, .13 as hst. You are left with .47 ...

You pay land tax, you pay this that?? Where does it go? I have 2 family members that work for goverment and they do anything at work... Where is all the money go?? Where is my hospitals? My highways? I used to have twice a week garbage collection now its once every two weeks? Blowing millions on ehealth, gas plants??

OUR POLITICIANS DISCOVERED IF YOU BRING THE THIRD WORLD HERE IN NUMBERS THAT YOU COLLECT TAXES AND RUN THE COUNTRY WITH LOW STANDARDS.

Thats whats going on and will
Only get worse.

Our corruption is worse then Greece but we are too divided culturally and too brain washed to stand up and discover the real truth

amen

This government couldn't run a hot dog stand yet we're supposed to give them billions of dollars so that they can invest it for us and pay us later? :lmao:

This is a horrible idea. I don't think we need CPP at all either. Just RRSPs are good enough platform.

Total BS

1. If I invest it myself in an RRSP and I die it goes to my family. The Ontario Pension says thank you and they keep whatever I paid in.

2. I assume that my amount that I am allowed to invest in my RRSP will now drop again since this $1200 will go against it. This makes the whole situation worse in reality for the system.

3. As an employee I would assume that I will have to match for my employees. Yes for sure the employers are an endless well, just keep dipping into it. It won't impact hiring at all.

4. I can manage my own investments thank you very much.

5. Its just another tax taking from haves to the have nots. If I ever see anything from it, the money will just be taxed away since I saved enough on my own.

There are more than enough incentives for people to save (if they have the money).

If you want to put more plans in place to help people save money on their own, I'm all for that.

Get out of my life govenment. You take too much now and give nothing back.

You know a place where it's better? Do tell. (Seriously, I need to know.)

I am aiming for okanagan valley. I won't be here by next elections. Better or worse, dunno, but at least I am trying to do something about it.

I really miss being self employed. I really hate paying in to a pension fund, benefits and other fluff.

This is so sad I can't even troll. I'd be like laughing at a funeral. :)

So I was right, you were trolling in the other thread

I wish there was a coordinated effort across the province to vote out every incumbent, regardless of party. The only viable candidate is someone with zero experience as far as I'm concerned. Time to teach them all a lesson that there's no career in screwing voters. Do that every election and the pool will get thin very quickly.

So is this the Hudak love-in? Am I in the right place?

Hudak is just another political puppet like the rest. The party platform checks the right boxes for me but, he dodges the tough stuff like everyone else. No personal accountability, point fingers to everyone but themselves. I know they can't be honest because, opponents would rip them a new one. It's sad that the game is all about positioning and key talking points and never stray off the path.

Same to John Tory. Seems like a sensible fella. When campaigning provincially, he soon wandered into the school system, he ended up looking like a fool. Sounded like the whole school system was going to turn to pooh if given the chance.......Now running for mayor, he's staying on point. Avoiding the things that could get him in hot water. And who knows what the truth is or if anything would be better under his watch?

Politics is just sleezy business with no accountability once you are voted in.

they say what ever it is that they think you want to hear then once elected then suddenly they discover that the previous government left things is such poor shape that there is no way they can do what they promised. I used to vote provincially and federally but I am tired of being lied to, I dont vote anymore - I just dont care.
