Southwood has been "hit or miss" ever since I can remember. I haven't riden it since spring. It sounds like calling it "sketchy" is a bit of an uderstatement... the pucker factor on the sandy corners can get tiring, but not nearly as tiring as Hwy 400 southbound on Sunday evening. Also SW 13 is suicide imho.
Lol! Definitely scared me enough to stop and stop shaking after the rear slid especially badly on one corner. On the other hand, that section with the rock surface exposed was a great pot to stop. Drank my juice shakiolly and then ended up in that mess on the 400.Southwood has been "hit or miss" ever since I can remember. I haven't riden it since spring. The only good part is the rythymn section at the end. Otherwise you can't ride any of it hard because of the sand and gravel. Very overrated road these days. Much better riding to be had on Upper Big Chute, 38, 632, and 518.Lol! Definitely scared me enough to stop and stop shaking after the rear slid especially badly on one corner.
