Otherwise, the term you're looking for is peripheral vision. Not sure we can point fingers though--drivers regularly shred their cars on Toronto's straightest, slowest roads. If they don't stall or burst into flames first, that is.

The moment I saw the colored taxis I knew it was going to be bad, Thailand is notorious for having completely insane moped and motorcycle riders. It's completely normal there to see 50+ motorcycles lane splitting at 20-30+ km/h with practically no gear and if you don't follow you get ******* at for blocking the way.
