***Update***
With the help if my friends in our machine shop, we sourced a die nut and I was able to clean up the threads enough to spin a new filter back on with no issues.

What size die but did you have to use to thread that? I have the same issue and need to get the bolt re-died. Did you do it yourself, or did you take it to a shop?
