Most of the good riding is to the north-east of the city-if you're in Scarborough then you may be able to ride to some decent stuff. There are some legal road allowances a few miles past the zoo, also some of these road allowances pass by some "informal" riding areas. I often ride up to my cottage and know many good routes out of the city. Let me know if you want a tour.
