I'll be going this year, especially since I'm off work until Jan 6th!

I'm looking forward to doing a slow walk around the place - normally I get through the show pretty quick, but this year I'd like to take my time and talk more people working the show. Also looking forward to sitting on a bunch of bikes.

I see there is a Indian/momo place nearby - we should do a food meetup and then check out the bike show:)

Haven't been to a show in several years, bikes stored in the garage for a couple of summers (we did just buy a scoot scoot to scratch the itch this fall). Show might be a good way to bump start to a full summer. Always like walking around and sitting on all the bikes and seeing what new stuff /gadgets there are.

I'll try to swing by the show this year. Last time I went, was the year of COVID and my son got to ride a PW50 and be on CP24 promoting S.M.A.R.T riding adventures. Needed to be down there for like 7:30am. Not fun. Now he would be rocking something in the PW80 line or even higher.

I want to try out some new helmets and day dream about new bikes.
Maybe get some more info on off road riding etc.

Favorite part.
Stopping by the GTAM booth to chat and pick up some more GTAM swag. Stickers and keychains. (Is that a good enough "review" for some tix?) 😁

Least favourite part: NONE

It is like a winter tonic. All the 2 wheel fun the smell of rubber, leather and vinyl. The roar of the daredevils flying in the air and the whiff of exhaust. What’s not to like? Love it all.

Many complain about either the January or April shows.
Even though they may not be "GREAT", I see it as an outing with good friends around cool bikes and gear.
You know the price of admission and parking ahead of time. The shows have been very similar over the past several years. If you don't like it , don't go and complain about it.
The shows have changed a lot in all industries and areas of interest. I haven't been to the ski show in a long time, but I'm sure it is also smaller and not "GREAT" camping and boating shows and the home shows have also changed.

Reality is that all industries are changing. People have changed the way they research new products and changed the way they spend money. A lot of these shows are actually a loss to most of the vendors but they go to just go and get some exposure. Attending these shows is not cheap for the vendors and they actually prefer not to be there.

I helped set up a show for a company in the dental industry several times. Annual show where all the dealers and vendors attend. It has been said that 2 of the biggest dealers actually don't want to go as it costs them to much and they don't make enough sales during the 2 days of show. (approx $250K for 2 days of show. Booth cost, 1-2 days of set up, late evening for tear down, transport of equipment, meals and overtime for techs etc. They would need to have around $2.5mil in sales at the show to break even, which they don't. But they understand they have to be there so they do it.

For the MODS....will there be GTAM T-shirts this year? I wanted to buy a few last year and none were available :(

Usually meet up with riding buddies, do the show and then go for beers and wings.
Last year I dropped near 2 large for Klim gear. ( and loving it -Thanks @shanekingsley & @Wingboy for the reccomendation)
This year I need a new lid but sadly will not likely get one at the show. I only buy plain white and they don't bring many of those.

A few of my previous roles was with suppliers that had to do the trade show route...

My bosses all said the same thing about attending / being at the show and I think it's still valid...

'No one cares if you're here. But EVERYONE notices when you're not'.

They don't do it because they'll make it up in sales. They go because if they don't, everyone thinks they're in trouble.

Will try to make it and hopefully drag one of the boys with me (likely the 12 y.o.).
I’ll be looking for any helmets for my grossly oblong head.
I REALLY appreciate that it’s at the international centre. Airport and free parking beats downtown. Anything at the MTCC is an immediate “no thanks” from me.

that's a @cutekill query
Sorry guys, no T-Shirts at this show. Thre just wasn't time to order those and move the site and book the shows and plan the Sharp Rider 2025 course dates and.. and .. and. .

I'll do my best to have some for the April show.
