No more R6 ?

had a GSXR 600 and now a R6. both fun bikes. I have never ridden any other types of bikes. Guess most riders don't like sport bikes?
What do they know that I don't know....
There are better bikes for the street for a plethora of reasons.

Away from the track, they just don't make a lot of sense for most riders, even sport riders. Twins make almost as much horsepower with way more usable torque, are cheaper to produce, and don't have the track ergos.

This^ x 100
If I was a young squid starting out today with money to burn and desire for a sleek sexy fast sport bike, Id buy the aprilia 660 in a heartbeat over any of the supersports

I think this is precisely the demographic aprilia was aiming for with the 660

The Aprilia 660 would have my attention if I were in the market for something mid-size. Evidently it needs better suspension (they had to save money somewhere), but once the aftermarket gets their hands on it, that'll be easy to sort out. And perhaps that leaves room for Aprilia to come up with a pricier version later on with better goodies.

But ... In decades of riding, among quite a few bikes, I've never owned a 600. The closest was my '87 Kawasaki Ninja 750 (which I bought in 1989), which was my second bike ever. But everything after that has either been quite a bit smaller, or quite a bit bigger.

Yeah. Not cheap.

Didn't you have a wr250x?
Or still do?

still have the WR250X....bored of it now...I want something light but with more power.

History repeats itself a good rz350 is worth how much today? If they kill 600 Ss there worth how much in 15 yrs?
I dont think so. How many RZ350s were ever produced vs the total of 600cc SS?
The RZ is unique in thats its 2-stroke, that's the draw. There will never be any 2-stroke bikes sold here ever again and there hasnt been for awhile.

?

I didnt hear the ZX6R and GSXR 600 were ending?

zx 6r is 600cc + ... Gixxer has already been axed in Europe... not sure if they will continue to manufacture it for NA markets only... certainly not like what Yamaha did.

These are only rumours about the r6, i've seein pics from europe of the r6 2021 20th anniversary edition..redblack and white.
Look at Yamaha canada... no R6 for 2021 :(
