It must have ben quite the thrill haha. All seriousness, i dont know people convince themselves starting out on SS is a good idea, let alone a litre ride... i've been on my XJ600, sport tourer for nearly 3 years now, and starting to think of getting an SS. Though i still find my self making stupid mistakes here and there on my current ride, i could only imagine how much more those mistakes would be amplified on an SS

Great vid. I actually watched the entire thing. His excitement and enthusiasm were quite entertaining. I did question his choices, a couple of times, as to where he decided to give 'er a little bit.

Sounds like you have no self control...

I started on a 2006 GSX-R 750 and two years later, I'm still here.
The only mistake I made is leaning too far on cold tires/pavement at the end of my second season.
Other than that, I had no mishaps.
It can be done, it has been and I'm sure it will be again.

CBR1000 might be a bit too much (esp if you consider someone who might be 16 with no prior experience), however at my age (30) and driving manuals since I was 16 I figure I might have been ok had I started on the CBR600RRA I want now.

With that said, I do feel the 250 has made me a better rider than I would have been had I started on a 600 -- Same as how I feel starting to drive on a 5spd Sunfire with no hp made me a better driver than if I started on a sports/performance car. I will miss revving the crap out of the 250 in every gear though when I do upgrade to something bigger, unless I end up also taking it to the track...

This guy's video are pretty cool i've subsribed to him on Youtube.

look a this,looka this ****,lol

makes me jones for springtime, and a 1000 sporty

"you'd have to be jesus to learn on this thing" hahahaha

Reminds me my first time on a litre. Honda demo. Couldn't get the stupid smile off my face. Way smoother then 600's

You can definately learn to ride on a larger bike but someone who starts off on a 600 + ss and someone who starts off on a 250 develop different habbits. Riders starting off on larger bikes generally ride at lower revs and square off corners whereas someone learning to ride on a smaller bike generally preferrs higher rpms and carry more speed in turns. Not saying any one style is better but you do tend to develop different habits depending on what you start off on.

i cant believe i watched the whole video..it was that entertaining lol.

i think regardless of what size of the bikes everyone of us could relate to that feeling of ''OMG i just pooped myself!" when we first ripped it on our first bike lol.
thats why i enjoyed the video so much at least, because it reminded me of the thrill of my first ride off the dealer lot w/ my bike lol.
