Nickel-Bronze Welding

I hope so, I was less than delighted with it falling off on my foot, at least this tractor has a center stand.

Center stand for the win. Every bike I ever owned I tore the center stand off (the mirrors too) because it wasn't racy. I just bought a center stand for the Triumph Scrambler @ 300 dollars so I can fix a flat on the road. How times have changed. Oh ya, brazing...um....ahhh...gets hot, be careful.

Ok so i just had a beer with my nieghbour the machinist, engineer , welder.

brazing and bronze welding are a different process, brazing is a cappillary process where the material is flowed onto the surface and creates a bond adhering to the pours in the surface of the materials to be joined and bronze weld ( which has come MILES in the last twenty years) has strength in the joint material creating a strength through the fillet. Silicon and nickel additives have made this material extremely strong.

I learn stuff here every week. Some of it is useful.

anybody wanna buy a '73 R75/5 minus a side stand?

I'll use regular brazing rods for fuel tank mods. These have less surface tension when melted allowing capillary action to flow into crevices. The high surface tension nickel-bronze rod will be used for structural, and butted.
