I got my LS2 Valiant last winter and used it for the 2021 season, $300 on sale at GP. The Valiant II replaced the Valiant, but essentially the same helmet.

Great helmet, I like it a lot and it had good ratings as well. The flip up feature is great, on really hot days I can ride with the helmet open as it becomes more like a 3/4 helmet due to its design vs. an open face helmet.

Due to helmet shape a standard communicator would not fit properly and I had to use the LS2 proprietary one.
 
I ride the Evoline 3 with it open most often and just the sun shield but when it rains or lots of grit or bugs happy to have the fulled sealed chin piece and visor. It also cuts noise but I ride with earphones and the helmet is quite quiet enough even at highway speed for audio books.
 
Just saw an ad from Pete’s Superbike saying they bought up remaining Sena 30k stock in Canada. $499 for a double pack.
 
Finally arrived today. This one got dinged but for hardly anything… $38. Will have a good look at it later and report back.
 
Very happy with the LS2 valiant 2 over two weeks of class. Lots of compliments on the look and quality.

I wouldn’t use it as a street helmet only because I have some bias against Modular’s for that purpose. However, overall I would recommend is.
 
First impressions..just wearing it in the house. It’s a well fitting helmet (for me). My old Shark could be put on either in jet configuration or street configuration but this one is so fitted I can only put it on when open in jet (so far) and then when it’s closed it is absolutely perfect and feels like my XWed2 or XD1. I like the ratchet closure, it’s a lot easier than I thought it would be. The liner is top notch, very comfy indeed. There are loops to help in putting the helmet on which is a nice touch. Paint job is nice on this model and I appreciate it being light in colour to help with keeping cool on hot days. Opening and closing is nice and not mushy. Takes a bit to get it to ”click” shut but it’s new so I expect that. There’s a small visor detent for getting some air in the helmet which is good too.

Next steps are to fit the Nexx XCom2. This system is a bit more well thought out than fitting the XCom 1 in this helmet. It looks like there are cable routing options rather than the “just stuff it in a gap” option for the X Com1.

I've been using LS2 FF686 modular for couple of years now... This was one of their early (at least in Canada) modular models, and first modular for me...
There are some minor issues (mainly fit and finish, nothing functional)...
For the money, it's great.
I wanted modular purely for easier border crossing, gas stations pit stops... and for that, it's perfect... My full-face Shark has been sitting unused in the box since...
