Next Gen Suzuki Hayabusa and Kawasaki ZX14???

hey everybody

i was just curious, is there any info about these bikes??
i mean there should be new models this coming year, considering they havent changed in 3-4 years
any info??
i read on a some forum that the next Busa should have 220bhp.. but its not a reliable source

Hayabusa and ZX14 tend to be more about the torque then horsepower.

I don't know. I'm not certain if these are selling well enough to justify a refresh.
 
Suzuki has not been innovating - they just "refreshed" the vstrom - but that's mainly cosmetics and not engine tech etc.

Kawi has at least released the ninja 1000 here in land of north America, a new model.. Maybe the zx14 gets a tweak ? Dunno ...

The first generation Hayabusa ran from 1999-2007, it appears they don't update that model nearly as frequent as others. Haven't heard about a new one yet.

I think the busa's made to keep its traditional look... sorta like how the 250 Ninja was. People see it and go.. "yeah thats a busa" because of its size and look IMO.
Minor updates along the way perhaps.

The busa's look is function before form, and it has probably stayed the same because it works. When Motorrad did windtunnel testing on the busa back in 2000, they concluded that to reach 300 kph, the busa needs "only" 156.3 RWHP versus the 169.1 that the ZX12 needs to accomplish that.

When do the companies typically announce their line ups for the following year? Automotive is usually the fall, not sure if motorcycles follow the same trend.

well yeah i know that the 1stGen busa was made for 8 years... however im just debating wether its worth it getting the current one, or wait for the next one.. because Suzuki will FOR SURE make the next busa more bada%& then it is now

Doubt youll see a new busa next year, it's really only SS bikes that have the 4-5 year cycle most other models go for 8+ years without an upgrade as the market (racing and street) isn't there.. Also I don't think sales are really booming right now you wont see too many of the manufacturers pushing new models out right now.
