New York - POI / LOOK OUT points

Looking for nice points of interests that i can take my bike to in NYC, going to be riding at night 1am-2am ish so that I won't be cooking in traffic.

Don't mind riding on curbs/off roading to get a nice shot....

was just there. If in NYC, check out DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) in Brooklyn.

Going into NYC crazy early or crazy late is a great idea ... traffic is crazy ... start exercising your clutch hand.

thanks! I was hoping to get into NYC after 9pm.... I dont think that's late enough....

Where did you park?
 
Parked on the street. just watch the parking signs or else tickets galore. had a bike lock and chained her up to a road sign.

bikers there had their license plates velcro-ed to their bikes so they could remove them easily. Think it had to do with something about stealing plates or something
 
Not inside the city but within 30 mins (sans traffic)
1.Palisade Parkway, north west of George Washington Bridge. There are 2 lookout points to see Manhattan.
2.Bear Mt. Tower. Manhattan will be a small dot but you can still see it , Its a good ride take 9 then seven lakes drive through the Hariman State Park then back to 9
3.Storm King Highway Nice lookout over the water.

Lots of deer in Palisade.
