New Year's moto resolutions

To finally, on attempt year number 6, to finally get up to the James Bay Road and check that off the bucket list.

Last years trip was foiled by the wildfires...the few years before that, Covid, the year before Covid....waited too long and tours of the dams had closed...the year before that, I forget, scheduling or something.

Just debating on the month now. I'm leaning towards early in the year this year, hopefully before wildfire season gets started.

Be happy with the 2 bikes I already have (love 'em both) and don't always think the grass is greener on the other side.

Hand-in-hand with that is not to get a 3rd bike (still miss the '19 Duc Scrambler 800 I traded in ... for the mild dirt-road stuff).

A new ride may be in my future as well, but that's another story.

Rubber on the road, more kms than the measly 3K done in 2023.

I somehow managed something in the range of 10,000km on the season after recovering from my concussion, although about 9000 of those km were done inside about a 4 week period in late summer and early fall. If it wasn't for that my season would have more or less what Mimico reported.

I'm hoping for a more normal season next year.

I did 2 overnight trips last year. One to Ottawa/Tremblant area and the other to PA.

Hoping to do the same this season coming up.

Would be nice to do some dirt roads but I think I need to change my tires for that.

I would like to do some trips to northern Ontario or northern Quebec. No so much for the twisties but for the adventure roads.

2023,
Only did 1500km on the gsxr.
Trying to sell it. If I don't, track it, or at least ride it more.

Did alot of offroading.

Hopefully do more of both in 2024.

JBRs on my 2024 list too.

Like you, mine has been foiled by the same acts of god. I’m thinking 2nd week of August, bugs dying down, no chance of snow, and if it rains, it’s as warm as rain on that trip will ever be.

Get on the wait list now. Next winter, new hip!

Winter after that, do the other side!

Titanium caps. Makes you bionic, and lighter.

Yes. I can't wait to get tuned up. Not being able to do my morning walks has me gaining weight and feeling lethargic.
