Hey all.
So over the holidays I purchased a new TCL 55" Android Smart TV.
I'm pretty happy with it and the picture quality is quite nice considering how much I paid.
I set it up in the bedroom.
I still have my Sharp tv in the living room and I have it hooked up to Rogers with an HD box on basic cable.
I do not have cable in the bedroom and will not be putting it in there.(older condo)
Ive been going through some of the apps available on Google Play store and have re registered with Netflix.
I cant seem to find much in the sports area and would like to be able to watch the late NHL games on Saturday nights.
I love me a good Cal vs Edm on a Saturday night.
A friend lent me a android box last year and I tried it out in the living room.
I was surprised at how much content an android box have along with the endless movies.
I also noticed the depletion in quality...I went back and forth from Rogers HD and android box during a hockey game and the quality was quite noticeable.
My questions are these...
1) If i decide to go with an android box its my understanding they are around $165 and then $15 for the internet service.
Do I need to purchase a android box or is it already built into the tv? (TCL 55" Android Smart TV)
2) Is going with an android box my best option?
I understand the quality is less with the android box so are there other things available?
3) Ive heard of Rogers Ignite...would this be something worth looking into? (currently my Rogers Cable is only around 50 bucks)
4) What would be my best options for Sportsnet and TSN?
I think with Netflix and some of the other apps I've got the movie parts covered just want to increase the availability with NHL and such.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated
