When I sold my Buell, I regretted it immediately as I watched it ride away a few years ago.

Well, I got another and it’s better in every way. I’m the 3rd owner and it’s been well take care of.

I’ll be looking for you folks out on the road the rest of the season. With stops for ice cream, cold beverages and laughs. So frick n happy.

Nice. I have a soft spot for motorcyclists who enjoy and keep historically significant bikes on the road.

enjoy a few miles of smiles.

Is that a breather I see? (little K&N filter)

Had to read up on what is happening with Buell. here is an excerpt from Wikipedia that might bring some happiness to some:

In February 2021, Buell Motorcycles announced they are back in production under the new ownership of Erik Buell Racing (EBR). Buell announced they will use the superbike platforms developed from 2011 to 2020 to build out their model line up to approximately 10 models in 2024. The models will include variations for touring, dirt, adventure, and cruisers.

Congrats. So many cool things going on. Not sure if the changes make it "better" but I appreciate people that aren't afraid to try. It's weird seeing a Buell with a normal front disc.

Yes, it has a few tasteful and welcome mods like a flashed ecu, air cleaner and exhaust along with a Corbin seat.

It’s been well maintained and cared for and looking to continue taking good care of it.

I have a soft spot for tube framed Buells and like to keep them going. Many get trashed or the engine pulled for a chopper project etc.

While it doesn’t have the huge single front rotor of the XB and newer, it’s brakes perform well for the bike it is. Get it safetied this week and should be on the road by the weekend.

There was a thread about this a while ago, but the Coles notes are as follows:

The liquidation company (literally called Liquid Asset Partnerships) that bought EBR after bankruptcy decided to keep production going instead of just selling everything off. When HD decided to sell the Buell Motorcycles name, they snapped it up, and have rebranded the same bikes, along with some extremely ambitious stated goals to release a variety of new models.

Time will tell if they can make a go of it, but the irony is Erik Buell has absolutely nothing to do with the zombie/resurrected company bearing his name, but instead works for a company called Fuell that sells electric bikes and motorcycles...

Congrats.

What's your thoughts on the Corbin seat thus far? I tried one on my Vulcan and although I loved the look and the feel (at least so far as how the seat pan was designed) it had so little padding that it felt like a horse saddle. I eventually sold it and found an Ultimate seat instead.

My seat time has been limited but, I’ll get out for a substantial ride tomorrow. The Corbin was apparently $750 to the previous owner and raved about its comfort despite its hardness.

So far, it’s been comfortable.

It does have an optional back rest for a pillion that isn’t installed.

That seems to be the thing with Corbin seats - "They're hard. That's good. You'll like it".

I tried...rode a few thousand K with mine, but it just wasn't working. Might have been my sciatica at the time perhaps as I don't like a super cushy seats either, but who knows.

PP,

Happy to report the Corbin pocket and ridge for the rider is quite comfortable. I installed some bar ends and took a decent ride and found the seat quite nice as well as the over all ride.

Better than stock for sure.

Like most things related to comfort, opinions vary. I won’t need to search for a seat. But, if I come across one that is heated…….lol.

Installed the panniers and went on a milk run…..to Fort Erie this morning. Stopped for a quick pic before heading home. Arrived home just before the humidity got out of hand.

Cheers!
