New Rider

Just to clarify: you can take the course immediately after getting your M1. If you pass the course/test, they will give you a sealed envelope with your M2 test result. Once the 60 days are up, you just take the envelope to the Ministry and they will formally upgrade your license to an M2.

The learning curve will be much quicker if you do the course right away.

I won't tell. It's hard NOT to ride after dusk when you have a day job.

Also putting reflective wheel tape on the wheels. Red to go with the bike, and relfective stickers on back of helmet. Is there another spot on the helmet that is best to put the reflective sticker on helmet? Side and front?

Welcome

welcome to the forums!

Called and bugged dealership. They told me my bike was ready on friday(!!!). Nobody called me, i wasn't told it would be ready by then.

So now i am going in today to pay for the rest of the bike, then call to have it delivered to my house.

Also all my gear finally came in yesterday.

I passed the course. I have a sunburned face and neck, but i passed. only 7 demerit points for being slow. I was told that i was on the hardest bike that day, what kept ****ing me up was the odd placement of the shifter on the cruiser bike i was on. Not to mention i was on a different bike the previous day that i was really comfortable with.

The one instructor hugged me, she was proud of me and said i worked the hardest out of anyone there.

I'll enjoy riding this bike soon. Waiting till friday when i have the day off to go out earlier in the morning when my area is nice and empty and then sunday when I can practice in the parking lot. Have to learn my bike, the feel etc. The stuff i was on at the school was not like my bike in weight or style etc.
Mostly cruisers.

"If i was educated, I'd be a damn fool"

Going for the times when I know the roads by my place aren't full of ********. I live in a nice area and unfortunately have a blind driveway that is right on the corner of a upward hill, so people go flying by my driveway at 60+ when it's a 40 zone and the are never looking. It's a hassle in my car, nevermind my bike. Also there tends to be quite a few of the bmw/mercedez benz owners around there too, so add the "better then you attitude" along with the driveway situation and it's not fun.

One time we were in a cab that was backing out and in the span of 2-3 minutes, 3 people almost hit us, including one jerk who was going 70 at least and just swerved around us instead of stopping.

Congratulation Shane. I know that feeling far too well of attaining your m2, soooo good.
Congrats on your brand new purchase of your Honda cbr250ra. Enjoy your bike Mr Shane and ride safe.

Hello!

Awesome purchase, I love the thumper in the 250RA. It's the perfect starter bike. You'll more then likely outgrow in a couple years but it will more then likely retain loads of value so if you do choose to change it will be an easy sell.

Congrats and enjoy the ride - be safe
