Since there is no insurance saving on super street bikes

I'd still do the course because it's good learning. There were experienced riders in my course and they all liked it as well. I did it, and now I'm thinking of doing some of their more advanced courses as well. Can't put a price on your health!

RTI sure can put a price on it $500 for M2
i may take race school for next year
but ill skip on RTI

any one know where i can rent a 250cc bike for my road test coming this monday ?
i rly dont think i should do this on my Ducati

If you have the money for an ecpeinsive bike, you would have money for the course. Its a good learning experience and you will wing the test. Lol

$1800 from state farm is great!

#1 its a duc
#2 the purchase price is over 10 grand
#3 its over 600cc

run with it!

actually its 848cc im guessing which is essentially the same as 1000cc in state farms books.

im clean, over 25, etc...farm wanted 1800 for a z1000, which wasnt horrible, but...

i went to jevco cause they said its a sport touring...1200$

No offence MPS, but I question you skipping the RTI course if you are worried you can't pass the ministry test on the Ducati (and want to rent a 250 JUST for the test). If I had your bike, and was worried I couldn't pass unless I rented a much smaller bike, I don't think I'd want to be out on public roads (until I was confident I could ace it on my own bike).

When I did the course through RTI, the actual ministry test component was dead simple (eg. start, stay between the lines in a slight corner, stop in a box, then start in a straight line, do a quick/emergency stop in a box, etc), and I assume the test done directly by the MTO would be exactly the same (hence my above comment).

EDIT: Also keep in mind the cost of the course ($420+tax) includes use of their bikes and free-retesting, so keep that in mind if you are going to rent something (costs might end up closer). Also when I went with TD MM, they told me my insurance hinged on both getting my M2 in 60 days AND providing them with a course certificate number (so no course, no insurance). I'm not high-risk or an unknown (30, I have my car and condo with them as well, and am 100% accident/ticket free), so maybe they had their info wrong but it is worth mentioning.

the test is not the same as you describe it there is some figure 8 in there and other funky stuff
any ways i can handle my bike
i just don't want to show up there like a big shot riding a Duc
then the instructors expectations for me will be set rly high
and i dont want that
just want to fly under the radar and get my M2

Good luck! Let us know how it went.

P.S. The pass/fail is determined based on pure metrics, so how much of a big shot you are wouldn't factor in ;) It's about time to complete the components and ability to stay between some lines.

PASS :p
there was 3 Ducatis there
one got failed he was riding a Monster Ducati
funny thing is he was a rly good rider
and from what i heard he failed cus pointed to his ignition instead of the start button
other then that he did extremely good
there was a guy who rly F up
by passing the stop line locking up his rear end at full throttle
good thing it was only a 125cc
and he passed

well then, welcome.. please drive with care she is too nice to see her get scratch up... enjoy your ride and be safe!
