New rider.....new bike? or used bike?

Used, but be very careful about what you buy, look it over and make sure you get the proper documentation UVIP etc etc. Protect yourself first, it may be nice to think all of us riders here are good guy's but we're all human and not everyone has the best intentions in mind.

Oh and as others have said here get a new rider friendly bike, best to learn on that than something that cost you an arm and a leg.
 
definitely used, save thousands on a near new low km bike. many can be had in showroom condition.

save a big chunk on tax, search that one...

and the added stress of having a brand new bike is not conducive to a new rider
