If you look at Porche their cars haven't changed at all over the years, and they're one of the most popular sport cars! Even the new ones look like the old ones, no matter what car they design: family, SUV, whatever they almost look the same as an old porche. If you got something right and the public accepts and loves it why ruin it by changing it? The old MV design still looks better than most modern SS bikes. Look at Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki after 2006-2007 just for sake of changing their design their new bikes are hideous now. In techs they're fine but the R1 looks like a raccoon with an upside down face, the ZX10R is one ugly mofo all around, the GSXR1000 looks like it needs a nose job. As for Honda, they never made any new good looking bikes after the 90s to begin with...

Gixxers and R1's are not too bad design-vise but the latest ZX10R is hideous, they really butchered it. The latest CBR1000RR is actually an improvement over the previous model.
The Japanese go back and forth. I like the R1, don't much like the rest. The Euros have it figured out IMO. KTM, BMW, Ducati, and Aprilia. The latter 2 have continually advanced their designs. Ducati deviated from the 916 lineage with the 999 (which IMO is awesome) but they nevertheless drastically updated their designs. The 1098 and 1099 pay homage to the 916 but that's all. The MV on the other hand is essentially a carbon copy of what it was in '99. I still like it and its remarkable that such an old design can remain somewhat current, but it is an old design and Im personally tired of it
Made the post to post that the new MV that was all not add praise if I wanted praise I would post on the MV forum. Anyway this is my last post on this topic as I going to the garage to start my MV. Also please see the forum member comment about not changing body designs that I why assume that you have an axe to grind with MV.

I would take this over any Ducati.
And point is, everybody at Timmies would walk right past any bike to come take a look at this.
I still regret not buying the breva 1100 for 4k when I had the chance last year.
Now...that,is an engine!

I don't care what anybody says about performance to weight ratios, the breva 1100 is nothing but class. One day we'll meet again :sad11:

The reality of pleasing an average canadian motorcycle consumer. If Italians were complaining I'd listen ..... but I love the fit and finish on the 115 different types of hockey sticks in every sport shop. Lovely.

If I'm picking nits, the 1199S had several parts on it that looked manufactured by Fischer Price. But that's what you get when you look at pre-production machines. I hope the production machines are better finished...

Like I said, upon closer examination, to me the Ape and Duc looked to be of higher overall quality finish. Not to mention the Duc is a stunning and intricate design while the MV is the same as it was in '98

That's funny you don't get more outdated than Moto Guzzi... and I know I had a 1981 Le Mans back in the day which funny enough looked leap years ahead of this. Moto Guzzi do have a cult following though.
