New Mt 09

Pictures of the new Tracer GT are out, looks like it got uglier too. Who's styling these things?

Not sure - but yeah - it's not very nice looking. The dash is a hideous throwback to the 80s. Awful.
They did add a ton of cool features, but it also did go up by $2000 - which is making a lot of folks balk.

At $14k it's way too much for what that bike is, Ohlins or not. That's what I paid for my new 2018 Tuono in early 2019.

The gold suspension is great if you weigh 160 lbs, but if you're outside the range, it'll need new springs and possibly revalved anyway...

Edit: Two Wheel in Guelph has a new 2019 Tuono RR for $15,858, but that's an $1858 I'd find somewhere...

Here we go, more updates on the turbocharged Mt09...

"The prototype has been under test this year and proved able to make 180hp at 8500rpm and a whopping 130lbft of torque all the way from 3000rpm to 7000rpm, all while kicking out 30% lower emissions than a similarly-powerful normally-aspirated bike engine. "

There's a dealer in Montreal selling brand new 2019's for $13500.
Worth the drive if anyone's thinking of a new one.

I saw that. That's the lowest I've ever seen one, and I suspect it's pretty close to cost. My bet is there's a variety of non-negotiable freight/setup/documentation fees that they use to get some margin back.

Makes less sense this week than it did last, though, as Quebec is back in lockdown too...

Speaking of Quebec, I've noticed their listed prices are almost always lower than Ontario. Do they not have the same law we have where the advertised price has to be "all in", excluding Gov't taxes and fees?

It's maybe as Priller says, they add fees back in later.

Interesting, when the bike first came out there were already turbo kits being made available in the aftermarket world for the bike. Wonder what boost pressure they are running to make 180hp.

yeah they don't have the same laws as here, i believe you can re insure a branded bike there and put it back on the street. Here it's no bueno, only use is now a track bike.

It is a scam. You get hit with all kind of fees bringing it into Ontario

No... you don't.

Pay qst.

Immediate export to Ontario.

Go to the mto.

Fill out a form to get re-imbursed for your paid qst. (This takes a while to get back to you.)

Pay taxes in Ontario.

Get Ontario ownership.

Done.

All in pricing is a Federal rule but is enforced by a provincial body OMVIC. It isn't enforced here in Ontario on motorcycles either. Just look through Autotrader/KIJIJI.
