New Jacket time

The most common fatal accidents are caused by left turning cages. Reflective tape isn't going to help a lot. A pair of bright front mounted lights (esp yellow) is the best choice for making yourself conspicuous.

I looked at a Klim jacket, but it didn't seem to zip to Joe Rocket or Olympia pants and I wasn't planning on buying a set. I ended up with a light grey and yellow Olympia that has 1000 denier cordura in key areas and many many pockets. It doesn't have the parking pass holder and water pack that Shane's has however.

Police statistics show in 2020, 37 of the 42 fatal motorcycle crashes investigated by the OPP involved only one vehicle, and almost half involved riders aged 55-74.

Even better if you can run them with a modulator. Modulating headlights may be illegal even though most cops ignore them, but I assume an extra set of running lights are fair game.

No one said anything about fatal accidents and reflective tape works on all axis especially from behind where front mounted lights do diddly.
Riding in fog is a real issue and I'd rather be lit up with the kind of tape they use for rescues.
One reason it's used in many sports and rescue items.
Excellent on helmets and side bags too - both side and rear surfaces.

Not worried about what's in front of me ....side and rear are really vulnerable in rain and fog.

I do agree that fork mounted lights are useful and add to safety but only from that direction.

Excellent idea. Cheap too and includes side viz

I figured I needed some hi-viz when I realized I was riding a grey bike, with a black helmet and and black rain gear in fog and rain and would be a ghost as far as drivers seeing me.
Grabbed a hi-viz rain jacket right away and now all white including bike.

Totally forgot I have this lying around. Got it for walking around at night as there’s a lot of streets with no sidewalks.

Should get the MIL to stitch it into the jacket.

I have that exact unit safety pinned to my jacket ( keeps it in place when I take the jacket on or off).

That is a nice looking jacket.

It seems to be well constructed too.
Comfortable with a more “North American” fit.
You can get it without the pop of hi-viz as well.
Comes with a quilted liner that has a wind proof / “waterproof” outer layer. I removed it and used my own layers. It flows a lot of air as it’s got quite a bit of mesh.
All for less than $300

No way any of it is made in Canada it's way too inexpensive I have some of it seems like good gear but it's got to be Pakistani or Chinese

Made in Canada or designed in Canada?
Should be on the jacket if you'd care to check...thanks
Not made in Canada, nothing is. Their business and warehouse is out of Orillia. They even just expanded the warehouse because the demand is growing.
