New Female Rider Scarborough - Birchmount & Steeles area

My cousin is 5'1" and 105 pounds. After riding her CBR 125 for about 500 km's she's looking for a Ninja 250.

I thought the 125 would be suitable for one season but it's just too under powered.

Even very moderate hills she needs to downshift, hold the throttle wide open and she is still losing speed.

Congratulations on your M2, and hope you find a bike soon. =)
I live around Markham and Steeles area, maybe we could go riding when you get your bike.

I have a lovely red 2006 Kawi Ninja 250 selling at $3500 if you're interested. I live in the McCowan and Hwy 401 area if you'd like to check it out.

@ op grats on ur m2! the cbr 125 is a blast to throw around in corners, i rode one for the course! good luck bike shopping! if u can get a cheaper 250r and u dont feel comfortable not being able to flat foot it, u can always lower it as well.
anyways nice to see another rider in scarborough =p

and @ squirrels, maybe u shud get ur 250r checked out. cuz mine doesnt shake at 100...or above. same goes for my other 2 friends who also rides a 250r.
maybe ur wheels are off balance or ur wheels are slightly misaligned or u have a bent rim (my car has a slight steering vibration above 120 cuz 1 of the rims is slightly bent)

Welcome, Chin.r

I ride a CBR 125. It's a fine motorcycle. I'm quite happy with it. When all is said and done, whichever motorcycle you decide to purchase, will be your decision. I believe it will depend on what type of riding you want to do. And, what type of rider you want to be. Please, do *not* be influenced by some of the people here. It's your money. And, more importantly, your life.

Good luck and safe riding!

My 250 starts to shake a little when I get up to 100km/hr...., I'm looking to upgrade myself. I'm selling my red Kawasaki Ninja 250. You interested =)?
.. not if it rattles/shakes @ speeds over a buck! :-)

Welcome! My friend bought a 125 and sold it after a week....go for the 250.

thank you for your advice, i know everyone is suggesting me to go for the 250, but upgrading is only a matter of time...i want to start off soft and easy, eventually the 125 becomes 250 then a 600cc!!
