Hi riders

My name is Noreen and I am a new female rider (go for my lessons next weekend) but just purchased my first bike, a Honda 125 CBR. Looking for tips and rider buddies for the near future :)

Welcome and there's nothing like the freedom riding gives you. You're gonna love it and and it's good to see more women are riding their own instead of being the passenger, good for you.

Welcome.
It's like riding a bicycle lol almost, ok not really, ok but maybe only a little bit. Lol

Looking forward to seeing you on the roads, ride safe.

cbr 125 is a great bike! Just recently got another one and love it. Good city bike and easy as hell to learn on. Welcome.

Welcome Noreen, Glad to see another female rider out there. I just took my course at Georgian College and all I can say is wow, it taught me a lot and I am so happy I took it before the bad habits started.

The two magical words: "female" + "rider" = :agave:
Welcome & congrats!

Welcome and congrats on your first bike! The lessons will help a lot and you're starting on a great bike. As others have mentioned, don't be too eager to join group rides - ride alone so your can learn at your own pace.

What area of the GTA will you be riding from?

Welcome!!! :-D

Great starter bike. Have fun when you take your course next weekend.

I will take pics soon and upload them for sure by this week.
Does anyone have tips for my lessons/road test this weekend?

1- look where you want to go, if you look at the orange cone you will go over the orange cone.
2- be smooth on everything you do, accelerate smooth, brake smooth
3- always pay attention to instructions and do exactly what they say.
4- it isn't rocket science, breath when you get nervous and relax and have fun.

Go to an empty parking lot and practice, starting, clutch control, braking, turning and looking through the turn.
