I know no one cares but I'm excited. I finally bought my first bike, I pick it up as soon as they will let me so I can stare at it in my underground for a while, haha. It's a blue 2009 fz6r with 21,000 kms on it. It was $5k plus taxes/finance. Not too bad I don't think.

So now I can stop bumming my buddy's Ninja 250 off him, haha. We can actually ride together for once.

Congratz!

Your underground? Assuming underground parking lot, get insurance on it asap.

Insurance will be valid at 12:01 am tomorrow and they are putting an alarm on it before I even take it home. It is still sitting in the dealer's showroom right now with a sold sign on it.

Will this be your first year riding? How much are you paying on insurance?

I've been riding a total of almost 2 years now. Put about 4-5000 kms on my buddy's 250. Insurance is $1728. I just turned 25 and I've had my m2 for well over a year now.

Congrats man. You'll love the bike. It's got a lot more than a 250 and it's a blast to ride.

Cool! Congrats on the bike.... nice friend letting you have so much fun on his ride!!!

I wish you the best of luck with your new ride. The joy that a new bike offers you is like a dip in the Fountain of Youth. Yeah, I know you don't need it at 25, but you will, you will.

Anyway, spring will be here, and I have a bit of advice about something I learned in March 1962. I rode under a railroad overpass, I think it was Jane St between St. Clair Ave and Dundas St. I was foolish in those days, having ridden no more than you have, and I was in the middle of the only (then) southbound lane. In fact, I was where car tires never went, so there was a big black mound of dirty ice, and down I went.

So when you get the urge to take the first ride of spring, please watch for sneaky ice, in the places where shade makes the pavement just a bit colder than the surroundings.

Ya your right I don't freakin care...but where are you located?

Congrats on the new bike, always an extremely exciting time. If your not planning on riding it till spring, see if the dealer can store it for you rather then risking it in an underground parking lot. Post up some pictures.. everyone loves a little bike drooling.

Call state Farm man, I just got a bike 2004 honda f4i and they only charging me $120 a month with full coverage
