New Bike to me

Hello all,

Even though I have been a member for the past 3 years I have not been so active. I did complete the M1 exit course at sherdian in 2011, but then decided that I was not financially ready to get a bike yet. So after three long years I have purchased a 2004 Ninja 250 as my first bike. I have not intro myself yet, so thought I may as well now that I will be out there this season. My name is Mathan and im from Brampton/Mississauga area. This is my first bike. I chose to buy this bike because of me being 24 living in Brampton (high insurance rates) and figured that I should start with a 250 and take baby steps in to this lifestyle of motorcycling. I am a 6' and a bigger body build. I will be definitely upgrading to something bigger once I feel i am ready. Looking forward to meeting everyone this summer. Cant wait for winter to be done!

Congrats dude. Great bike, I learned to ride on my buds 04 Ninja 250. Lots of fun, still miss that bike. My favourite part about it was the little compartment you can hide stuff in on the left side fairings. I'm in Etobicoke, when the weather gets nice hopefully we can meet up!

Hey thanks. Yes its a nice little bike for me to start on. I will def be down to meet up with you. I work at the edge of Mississauga not too far from etobicoke. I can use a few pointers to set me in the right direction. I took my M1 exit course 3 years ago and its making me nervous that it was that long ago and that I may have forgot some important things. I was looking in to redoing the course again but I am not sure if I want to, considering it is close to $500. I saw that RTI has a refresher 3 hour session for $100. What is everyone's opinion on the refresher course. Do you think its sufficient enough to get me on the right track or should I spend the extra money and re do the safety course. Has anyone done the RTI refresher course?
