New Bike Advice

Oh **** - I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with Paul...

I personally think the sv650's don't look like sport bikes at all.. they look long, thin and anemic.. and IMHO worse than my ****** ninja 250.

I understand it's got tons more power than a 250 but I'd never consider one just due to how it fairs in the looks dept. Now the ninja 300 on the other hand ;)

EDIT: I know I'm gonna get **** for this because there are tons of you with the sv650's but it's just a personal opinion - I just don't prefer the styling. I'm a full fairing kind of guy. I really don't mean to be a dick. My 250 looks like ****, goes like **** and is slow as **** if that makes everyone feel better :)

I guess, your comments have already been addressed, but just to make sure:
1). There is SV650S - fully faired SV650.
2). Have you ever ridden that bike?? SV650 is a V-twin, that bike actually requires balls to ride well with tons of torque. And your 250, well, not very big balls required, but a good starter bike nonetheless.

Just get a hayabusa 1399... You'll love it man...

Jokes aside, get what you think is comfortable. If you believe you can handle and respect a 600, why not, grab yourself a gixxer, cbr, or zx6r (my new bike). I started on a 2012 brand new gsxr 600... Got a lot of hate but haters gonna hate... Did not crash, did not drop it once, still alive typing to you today... Now I sold the gixxer and my 2013 zx6r is getting delivered soon... Go with your instinct.

Insurance is a huge consideration. A bike can only do things the rider wants - so for some its only as "dangerous" as you make it. If the insurance cost for a used 600 isnt too much -then consider it. But the new Honda 500s are nice bikes as well.

Good luck and happy shopping.
