The monster headlight is the same color as british peoples teeth and the new frame is ugly.

Fit and finish is also next level, price tag is lower than the africa twin but fit and finish is as good, if not a little better, seat has embroidery, hardware looks like jewelry, im sure the monster is a nice bike, but in person it has that faded plasticky look to it.

I agree the new monsters lost the plot in looks. No trellis and the headlight is deformed not round not sure what was happening in the design dept maybe the Germans don't like attractive bikes.

We were specifically talking about the headlights but it's obvious ya'll need glasses.

Seriously though, headlights back the Street Triple is sweet for sure and to me looks very similar to the Monster. I wouldn't be kicking one out of my garage that's for sure.

Head light back is the key.

It's like they couldn't figure out how to do it and just gave up.

Big fan of the 5 engine back-torque settings... minor fan of the 5 wheelie control settings.

No intention at all to update, the 1290R is already a bull in a china shop and a BT-Moto tune or preferably a universal tune (they're open-sourced and can be edited) will give me the power bump and a lot more attitude for the bike I have, to match the 1390R's updates. If I didn't have a 2023 1290R I'd be tempted but I'm not 100% sure I could do that headlight/taillight combo. Having to convince myself and others that it wasn't horrendously ugly would be tough. Looks like a Honda owner's camel toe.
