Never Trust a Lawyer

Who said lawyers could be trusted, first look in the root of the name itself. If bike is nocked over it is 4000+ right there. Go through insurance u have nothing to lose.

First post:
I was on my vStrom and it fell over but I have side bars on it so no damage was done and I was fine

Why would he go through insurance?
Also, he DOES have something to lose. Too many claims on a policy will hike up your premiums, or maybe even prevent renewal.

That would be *at-fault claims*, and notification isn't a claim.

My quotee thinks there's 4k in damages because aparently when a bike falls that's automatically how much damage there is.
I see his point. I have read stories of bikes being considered write-offs because plastics are so expensive to replace, but this doesn't apply to all bikes.

I discounted the damage amount listed as ridiculous, considering the OP said that there was none.

Cool beans. That brings onto the same page now. :)

Sorry Guys. I have a few PM's asking me what happened.

I gave the security camera video to 53 division and they went round to see him and that was the end of it. It was on private property so there was nothing the police could do.

The Policeman said I should bundle everything up, the video, his demands, etc. and send it off to the Law Society. He said they probably won't do anything as its like a union and they are there as much for the lawyers protection as their clients.

I actually did a search on they and they seem like a very unsavoury firm with a bunch of shady stuff in their past
Law Society will take matters very seriously. I would strongly stress that you send everything to Law Society. I know quite a few lawyers and once they get letter from Law Society, their sleepless nights start. Law Society will certainly look into the matter. Who so ever is saying that it won't do anything is just trying to scare you. Law Society is there to protect the consumer and not lawyers

I'd have to agree with C109knight if it's anything like the Engineer Society. You pay to be a member and pass your tests, and if something bad happens you will get blacklisted from PEO and they will take your license away. They also take things very seriously and have lots of seminars and all about whistle-blowing, etc.

j2 I am trying to contact you through P.M. but your limit is exceeded.
I have a BSA for sale.
P.M. me if you want to talk.
