Does anyone have a mitre saw I can borrow for an hour or two? I'm in Brampton. I have about 20 cuts to make. I have already messed up a couple trying to do it by hand with a mitre box but cant justify the cost of buying one. Alternately, I will bring what I need cut to you and you can do it for me.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If it's worth the drive to Hamilton......wood, aluminum or steel......

I don't care what the others say about you when you're not around. You's good people.

I've got a saw in Barrie and Pickering so about as close as Hamilton, but smells better.

Wait here, I'm going to come back with a come back when I come back.

He giveth, and he taketh away.

A. what are you cutting?
B. are you going to cut a finger off?

If your answer to A is wood and B is not on purpose, you can borrow one of mine, I'm in Milton. I'll require a security deposit of a shiny Loonie. Take it home keep it for a week.

I will pay you to borrow my saw. Where can I drop it off and how do you take your coffee?

I'd like to cut some plumbing pipe to make dog puzzles. PVC really dulls blades, but if I could use yours , I'd take a grande Americano with it.

So your offer does NOT include doing the work....just to be clear...

Hold on, I'm open to negotiation. If I bring a platter of finger foods or bucket of fried chicken maybe I can do the cuts?

Fair enough....make sure to let OP watch the SuperBowl as you work. Everyone wins!

Bah. He wouldn't answer my pm's so I drove out to Brampton. Boy that place is big! Oh well, call it a learning experience.

I lent a guy my sliding compound mitre saw once. He was cutting hardwood flooring. Dunno what happened, but he brought it back with the guard broken. (Looked like he took a hammer to it) His excuse was that a small cut off off flew out, bounced off something and smashed it.

It ended up he bought me a new saw and a new blade...those few cuts cost him dearly.

Slick, that's exactly why I have A/ tools and B/ tools, I'm willing to lend just about anybody a tool from the B list, the A list are tools that don't leave my sight. Most wont break something on purpose but when you get handed back a $400 smoking hammer drill because somebody doesn't know any better, well that's not fun. B/ tools if they fry or break I'm not worried.
