Need help with dog behavior issues

We were both exhausted last night after walks and command training. She seems to have settled a bit but I'm working all day today today till 7pm so I'm presuming she'll be a little wound up. She jumped up on me and then bit my hand this morning when I got up, that ****** me off. I left instructions with my son who's home today as to crate times and walks. Thing is any positive training will all be forgotten when she gets back to her owners.
I'd gently smack her on the ears or nose, they hate that.
My brother had a dog who had an annoying trait of biting your heels as you walk. As soon as she bite my heels, smack to the ears. She actually thinks before doing it again

Choke collars are crap- training collar will stop a pulling dog on a leash in 2 minutes or less. Leave it on the dog with an 18 " leash in the house-easy to give corrections to the dog with a qik tug of the leash. the pinch mimics the mother dog nipping the neck of a puppy, helps to discern the order of the pack.

Never hit a dog on the nose.
What about on the snout? I smacked my sister's dog once when it wouldn't stop nosing in on my plate as I was eating. She got real upset about it. Is it wrong to discipline someone else's dog when they're in the room?

It's wrong to hit a dog on the nose (snout), period. Look inside a dog's mouth some time. The roof of their mouth has folds on it that act like a radiator. That's why they pant when it's hot. To draw air over the roof of their mouth and tongue to cool the blood circulating through their noses to their brain. Damage that system, and it can hamper a dog's ability to cool itself.

The main cooling function for dogs is panting. The Air is drawn in through their nose. There are folds in the nose that increase the surface area for moisture in the nose to evaporate from, cooling the nose. The air is exhaled through the mouth. The moisture in the air is absorbed and the heated air leaves the dog. Along with this, since the dog’s mouth is open with it’s tongue hanging out, the saliva on the dog’s tongue evaporates cooling the tongue which has a rich blood supply, and so cools the blood which has transported heat from inside the dog’s body.

Lol, are there professional opinions on this? Dogs thermoregulate by a whole series of organs, the nose is just one

I've never had to hit my dog, I'm definitely not hitting someone else's. The choke chain seems to be working well enough.
