Awesome! Congratulations.

The worst part about buying used bikes is realizing that someone else's nuts have been vibrating on your (new to you) saddle :(

Cheers to a brand new nut-free saddle!!!

or you could buy a new seat
I never understood that thinking, I want to be the first to mount the bike...
uhm, before you get it I would say at the LEAST 3 people have ridden it before you got it.

Arrived at dealer an hour early (0930) my bike was in the service dept almost finished with the prep.

At one point during the ride. While we are stopped at a light a guy in a work van shouts out, "HEY", i look over and he says "Is that an automatic?"
I nod yes and he says "wow cool"

PS

i sure love the way insurance works out here compared to what i read you Ontarians have to deal with it.
Just as i was finishing up with the paperwork with the dealer, the ICBC broker shows up.

I get the insurance. Plate. sticker. right there. I opted to go for 1yr insurance. Total including plate / registration was $1062
Not sure if that is alot compared to what you pay in Ontario.

My bike VIN is 4
There is a bunch of letters and numbers but at the end is a bunch of zeros then 4. So my bike is the 4th bike made.

I wouldn't worry about it. And congrats.

That does not sound any different then here. I bought a new BMW GSA last June, I picked it up plated and insured no need for the broker to show up, they just fax everything to the dealer and they take care of the rest.

My insurance is just under $1100 for full coverage for a full year in Ontario for a 1200cc adventure bike.

Congrats on the new bike! Enjoy!
