Nail in rear tire... Okay to patch or replace?

there is no speed rating on a patched tire, meaning its technically unsafe to ride on. People do though...

Don't mean to be a &ick, but technically a it's unsafe to ride if there is a bump in the road. technically


I had the exact situation as the OP. Put a nail in my previous set of tires within 200 km.
Patched from the inside. They were perfectly fine - lost a little bit of pressure here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I had done 10,000 kms on them. A lot of that included high speed / hard riding.

They are fine. The patch is right down the center of the tire.
 
hmmm, my BMW R1150RT came with a patch kit and CO2 cartridges in the tool pouch...haven't used them and don't want to but it did.
 
What kind of tire patch is this? Something like This or?

Those I use permanently in cars and as temporary patches in bikes.


These are the right way to go (but you have to at least partially remove the tire from the rim to install.
