My VFR turned into this...........

Dude, congrats, that's one mighty clean Porsche 944. However, too bad it's an automatic and it's not the turbo.
The OP's gone a step beyond the 944. That car is a first gen 928. V8 power vs the 4-banger of the 944. Also a whole lot more expensive to maintain and repair. Hope the OP got one in decent shape.

Thank you for the correction! I actually looked at the back end and thought, hey, that doesn't look quite right for a 944.

I'm not so good at IDing the older cars, but I'm learning.

She's a classic and in such great condition! No doubt you'll continue to enjoy cruising in this ride!

Hey too bad - - do you want to sell your extra G4 base. Could use a second.
I assume you want to keep the one complete one for future consideration ;)

Well congrats on the Porsche 928 S This car was so far ahead of the time when it was introduced in 1978

The instrument pod moved to compensate for the steering wheel position, first automobile with a central electric syatem lots alloys used in the suspension and body construction, flush-mount glass etc, etc.

The Curent Panamara reminds me of this car. The Porschefiles never accepted it as a Porsche but the affluent crowd did which was the intent of the car to break into the Grand Touring category

Enjoy.

Nice car...I hope you have a nicely padded savings account though for all the repairs. I used to love that car. I had a red Porsche 928 car phone when I was like 3 years old. lol

Too bad it's an automatic though, kinda takes the fun out of having a sports car.

Nice 928. Very clean looking car. Enjoy it.

The 928 manual was neat in that it had the race shift pattern wherby 1st was in the first gate with reverse and the other 4 gears were in the normal H of the shift gate.

I think that car was actually better in the auto..

928S in a 'star' of the iconic Tom Cruise movie Risky Business.
"Porsche - accept no substitutes" I believe is one of the famous lines...
But yes, amazing car. Awesome score!

It didn't do so well as a submarine in Lake Michigan. ;)

Dude! I was behind your car when it was on the flatbed........Monday I think it was. I was on my way home from work and I'm trying to remember where I saw it.......403 or 407 I think. But I distinctly remember seeing it!!
