My trip to the dentist

Well, after several years of being sick af, and getting that taken care of, I had a fizzer or two.
One of the side effects from some prescription **** I had to take was, it burned the enamel off my uppers and rotted them.
Over the last ~3 yrs, I spit out a broken bit of tooth every few days.
So, after months of procrastination, I'd opted for "teeth in a day".
Today, starting at 10am, (done just after 4pm), they removed all the uppers and what remained of them.
I was put under.
They installed 2 implants. "Specifically torqued!!" (I like that part).
Then some bone grafting.
Then they added 4 more implants after that. (torqued....lol)
Add to that, a fresh set of uppers.
All in a day.
Oddly, my lower teeth are fine.

This is what I had extracted today.

Implants are the way to go for sure! As good or better than real teeth.
Big time pricey though
What did they put on the implants for teeth? Acrylic temps I assume until everything heals up?

Nice.

Nice presentation on that plate too, are you a french chef?

Did you go with glowing white so you looked like a real estate agent now?
When it was time to choose colour, I said "surprise me, but no movie star white, and no green".
It worked out. Neutral - broken in look.
The permanent ones, I'll likely get the same.

Yes, thats exactly what was used. 2.5 months until everything settles, and they install the permys.
And yes indeed, I could have bought a couple new bikes or a new car instead.

Wow. How painful was it?

It’s been 2 years for me and simply because of pandemic and time. Thanks for the reminder.

Yup....work here is super expensive. Although my MIL did her entire jaw where the dentist removed all her teeth except 4 to use as bases. Did her entire toothwork for maybe $2500.

Typically anyone I know goes to Europe to get their teeth done simply because with flights, hotels, and the work it's still cheaper to get it done in Poland.

Teeth made from zirconia rock just be sure to wear your biteguard when you sleep and when you are doing anything that you might take a wack to the head.
Don't sweat the expense with time you will regret not doing it sooner.

Mexico is another option.
