I try to overachieveCongrats...the bike looks in great condition...++1 on the brakes, then again I think you took the cake for worst brakes in use...
After only 300km, I can tell you it's a lot better (to me.)
Don't get me wrong, I love/loved the GS, and would still recommend it to new riders, because as a new rider they're not really worried about the small features that makes the Ninja better. If it feels right to sit on, go for it. But I believe, after a year of riding, I can appreciate the Ninja 500 more and feel the difference. It has more HP (about 10-15), its lighter, the riding position (to me) feels better (its slightly more aggressive), the positive neutral finder is so useful for red lights, it handles better, it's liquid cooled (I had my GS overheat a few times in crawl traffic during the summer), and a few other small things.
To a beginner, both bike would feel about the same. But to someone who has ridden for a few months+ they'll be able to see/feel the differences; and to me the Ninja is much better.
