Just signed the papers on my new bike (ninja 250) and took her around my block twice! I'm super excited but pretty nervous, only have my M1. Working on getting my M2 in two weeks. I don't really know that's many ppl that ride so I have learnt a lot from creeping this forum. Thanks guys for all the informative posts, they really help.

Now on to practice, practice, practice :)

welcome

Should consider taking a M2 course to learn how to ride and such. I suggest the Riders Training Institute(RTI) course. It's a nice weekend course, 20 hours in total. 4 hours on friday(in class). 8 hours saturday(learning basics etc), 8 hours sunday(emergency stopping, maneuvers, test practice & test).

I did it this weekend and i learned so much more then i could on my own, in a more controlled environment. You also get your paperwork for your M2 if you pass the test.

Welcome and congrats on the ninja purchase. The m2 through the ministry is not that difficult and having a maneuverable bike is helpful for the serpentine part of the test. Consider practicing with some pylons in an empty parking lot. You'll do fine!

Welcome to the community! I'd wait before riding it so you don't develop bad habits before learning the proper way to ride on the road.

Congrats on the purchase, its very exciting to be riding. Like the others have mention practising definitely makes perfect or if you get the chance is to join a well establiah motorcycle school like RTI, when I was planning to sign up it was full. Therefore I practise practise practise. The test center I went to allowed me to practise the slalom cones and the people there gave me tips and pointers on what to practise.

Welcome and like others have pointed out - take a course and start with the good habits from the beginning.
