Was in Colorado/California 2 weeks ago on the bike and it was pretty amazing. Never been to the gap, hope to do it sometime this summer. I cant imagine anything in North America can stop Colorado/California both scenery and fun factor wise...

No doubt, pavement in Tenn is hard to beat. However, check out this vid from the 7 minute mark onwards..... and check out the visibility. You can almost always see through the corner and in some cases you can see 2-3 corners in front. That's awesome.

I would agree that visibility is awesome, and it means that you're less likely to die, but...

That's what makes the Tenn roads so great.
