Wednesday September 11th. Looks like the construction on 518 is finished between Sprucedale (Stisted Rd.) and Tally Ho-Swords Rd. Gone are the new tar and chip sections all replaced with fresh pavement and painted lines.

Monday September 9th Southwood Rd. It really is in the best shape its been for several years. We ride it often and know where to expect all the gotchas. It is still an exciting ride, but ride to your own abilities. Generally you'll find sand on some corners in the right track. We prefer North to South.

Thanks a lot. Be up there sometime next week. North to South as you suggest.
 
Wednesday October 9th - Southwood Road - South to North: Caution is needed as there is still sand in a number of corners riding in this direction, with one corner being particularly bad. Despite the sand, its still an entertaining ride.

I have a Black 2012 V-Strom, there was an Orange 2009 V-Strom, a white Suzuki DR650 and a White Gladius (my wife's.). We you in the group that had the Strom, the BMW Aand the cruiser or with the Minis?

We didn't think the (lowered) Gladius had any chance of making it through so we eventually turned around after having a lot of laughs.
