Which vaccines do you have to have had? Too late for Barber this year.

I guess it will be WHO approved vaccines. And no Covid test required for land crossings, which is awesome.

Unless Canada changes it's requirements you will still need to get a Covid test before you return to Canada. Halfway there!

Exactly. You can’t just go for a day as I don’t think the test results will come in fast enough.

Are you able to take the test in Canada…go to the US in the morning and come back in the afternoon as you theoretically have a PCR test before returning?

I think Canada requires a test from a country of departure. At least for the air travel.
Probably true but on a quick trip, MP's test result is just as useless as a test taken in the US. Afaik, it needs a little time to cook before you cross the threshold in the test. I would be shocked if the test registered positive before a day or two after exposure.

I think Canada accepts rapid tests that can be done in 15 minutes.

The other question what will it show if you left that morning? And if it's positive - can they NOT allow Canadian citizen to enter?

No, the law guarantees your right to enter Canada as a citizen at anytime. Once you're here, you can be detained, placed in quarantine, etc.

Good. I prefer to have COVID on this side of the border.

FWIW Since we haven't been travelling outside of Ontario we haven't purchased travel insurance. Even out of province can cost you but not as bad as to the USA. Make sure you're up to date. I don't know what changes have been made since Covid 19 came on the scene.

I went to greece in aug - you're required to get a pcr done and its good for 72 hrs before departure. (you need to get on the plane by that time)

The airline wouldn't allow a family to check in because theirs was beyond the 72hr mark.

November, eh?

Bit late for a run down to the tail, unfortunately. Risk of leaving or returning to an early snowfall, knowing my luck.

A whirlwind rip down to PA however, Hmmm.... I'm so F'n bored of our roads here.
